Lizzie and Katy
Lizzie Humphreys, BSC (Hons), BA (Hons)
Lizzie Humphreys has over 15 years experience working and training numerous breeds. She is particularly interested in canine behaviour modification and training techniques with emphasis on obedience and agility.
Although her forte is with working and pastoral breeds, in the course of fostering dogs for different rescue organisations she has met a variety of behavioural problems and vibrant personalities in different sized packages! Lizzie has a degree in Applied Animal Behavioural Science and Welfare BSc through Greenwich University, certificates in Teaching Skills and in 'Pet Dog Training; Basic Obedience, Agility and Control' as well as a degree in English Literature from Lancaster University. She is an affiliate of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT). She is always keen further her professional development and has attended courses on canine complementary therapies and canine first aid. She has been teaching dog training classes for 12 years: at two clubs and a previous dog training centre prior to setting up 'Be Good' in 2011. She lives in Ryarsh with her husband, and two children. She shares her home with her two dogs; Phoenix and Ember (Australian Working Kelpies), Patience the Cat and 5 chickens. |
Katy Graves
Kay Graves has lived and breathed dogs for over 30 years and has been very involved in the show world. She has owned and bred champion Briards and is qualified to judge at Championship level. She has also competed with Briards at agility events and is great at teaching agility at our summer socials. In addition to being a keen breeder and exhibitor, Kay was secretary of the British Briard Club for over 10 years, she has a wide knowledge of a number of breeds as well as training techniques and show regulations. She is a certified canine first aider. She lives in Ryarsh with her husband, Michael, Sally their Briard and Gerry, their Belgian Shepherd (Malinois). |
