A behaviourist visiting your home allows your dog to learn the desired behaviour in the location you want them to display it!
It maximises chances of success as the behaviourist can see the cause of the behaviour and teach both you and your dog to alter it.
Alternatively, you can bring your dog to Lizz Cook, based in Ryarsh, Kent.

The 1-2-1 service:
This service is provided by Lizz Cook.
Lizz has over 15 years experience handling and training various breeds of dog and is a qualified dog trainer. She is able to help you to help your dog and in most instances a marked improvement will be seen immediately.
- It is important to mention that Lizz does not use harsh methods, such as alpha-rolls, but instead encourages the dog to exhibit the desired behaviour by choice - rewarding it and then reinforcing the behaviour pattern.
This is kind to the dog and the only way to achieve a consistant new behaviour pattern.
The 1-2-1 service is designed for people with a specific goal in mind for their dog to achieve. This could be to stop attacking the vacuum cleaner, introducing a new baby or to stop pulling on the lead.
Specific problems (such as the above) will rarely require more than a couple of sessions, more general problems (such as anti-social behaviour/anxiety/agression) may require more sessions.
- Puppies/Adults/Rescues/Bull breeds are all accepted.
Although based in West-Kent - Lizz covers S.E. London and the Home Counties. If you are further afield please get in contact with us for more information.
Initial Consultation
Involves around 2.5 - 3 hours of consultation in your home. A behaviourist will look at the problem and discuss potential causes before going on to recommend a course of action to modify the undesired behaviour.
After your initial consultation, you will receive a detailed case report, laid out in accordance with the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour's guidelines. This will highlight key points and lay out recommendations to modify your dog's behaviour. Your behaviourist will be available for telephone support and to answer any queries during the retraining phase.
Cost: £65
Second Consultation at 6 weeks
It is highly recommended that a second consultation occurs after 6 weeks. This allows time for modification methods to be put into practice and results should be clearly visible. This consultation should last for a minimum of 1.5 hour.
After your second consultation, you will receive a report update with further suggestions and continuing telephone support..
Cost: £55
Third Consultation at 12 weeks
If you wish to follow up on the previous two consultation, a reduced rate is offered.
This consultation will include a further, written update and will last for around 1 hour.
